Trigger Points and Anatomy

DIY bodywork will employ a variety of techniques in order deliver self-administered deep tissue massage therapy.  We will use inflated rubber 6" and 9" balls with our own bodyweight, rolling and holding steady pressure against the floor and wall to elongate and align soft tissue, improve habitual postural patterns, alleviate pain, and increase joint and overall mobility.  We will also work with our own hands to locate and treat trigger points, as well as using small balls such as tennis balls for more refined, exacting work.  Class will incorporate basic anatomy, neuromuscular bodywork techniques, and trigger point principles; aiming to increase body awareness and anatomical knowledge, and develop empowering techniques for self-care.
